     Sherron,
Here are the verses for the sad story of Mark and Jennifer...
the Muse brought me this idea last Friday morning, and then Friday night,
I talked with Mark on the phone for about an hour. He is hurting just as
much as the boys...the only difference is that he is better able to describe
the pain. Regina and I feel so very sorry for them, and there is absolutely
nothing we can do. These words are not even adequate to describe the hurt
that this situation has caused. Please continue to help me polish on this
song...it needs chords, and a melody for the lyrics...and of course, the
words need tweaking to make it fit with the meter of the song.

     Chorus
     [ I'm still the man I was ]
     [ though I just can't find a reason to move on ]
     [ I'm still the man I was ]
[ back when I was the one you loved ]

I've still got my job down at the mill
and the lonely old farm house you left me in
I've still got the band on my left hand
and the pieces of my heart that just won't mend

Our children have grown up and moved away
I did my best to keep them on the straight and narrow way
You changed into a person that we couldn't recognize
and sneaked off without a goodbye

     [ G C D ]
[I'm still the same old country boy I was]
     [ Em Am D ]
[I never found a reason to move on ]
     [ G C D ]
[I'm still the same old country boy I was]
     [ Am D G ]
[back when I was the one you loved ]
